Dr Phillips Roofer Answering Your Questions

Just thinking about having a problem with your roof can be overwhelming. There can be a lot of unknowns that can make the situation feel worse than it really is. At Schick Roofing we answer many questions and help put our customer’s mind at ease.

Can my new roof be installed without removing the old one?

To ensure optimal performance, the old roof needs to be removed. It is important to address any issues with the roof deck and repair them before installing a new roof.

Will I be able to change the roofing material?

IMG_0367When choosing the ideal roofing material for your Central Florida home or business, there are many factors that come into play. Including, slope, weight, architectural style, and life span. It is important to take these factors into consideration. One of our team members at Schick Roofing would be to give you several options, as well as an accurate estimate.

This is what one of our recent customers had to say when they had their new roof installed.

“They were able to help us find a color we liked and we did not have any problems throughout the process. Schick roofing was there early until late in order to get the roof done. I was very impressed with their skill and timeliness. I would definitely recommend this company. They did a wonderful job and were affordable.”

Will I be able to repair the roof instead of having it replaced?

This typically depends on the condition and age of the roof.  Repairs tend to be sufficient if it is an isolated leak. But if the roof has widespread damage, you may be better replacing. An inspection would be necessary for a more accurate answer.

What type of warranty comes with the roof?

At Schick Roofing our warranties cover both workmanship and materials. Depending on the roofing material, the length of the warranty may differ. For example, the GAF Golden Pledge Limited Warranty, covers materials for up to 50 years, wind speeds up to 130 mph (which would typically be experienced in a category 3 hurricane), and it also covers workmanship for 25 years.
